In addition, participants receive:

• Meaningful employment

Possible places or positions for employment include:

• Schools

• Many other opportunities

Home Maintenance

This purpose of this program is to improve the accessibility of a residence or to help maintain it on a non-continuing basis by modifying a home for handicapped accessibility. Maintenance could take the form of installing handrails, wheelchair ramps, or widening doors for wheelchairs and walkers.

Annually the Upper Arkansas Area Agency on Aging works with heating and cooling contractors to provide heater and cooler start up maintenance service. Licensed Service Technicians insure the safe operation of the equipment by carefully checking the furnace or cooler and replacing filters and pads as needed.

Our goal is to make your home a safe and comfortable place.

The funds are limited to $150.00 per client.
